Zimbabwe On Our Hearts!
We are so thankful to you all for joining with Love Without Reason in its second mission to Zimbabwe in February 2018! In a span of 8 months, over 100 lives were transformed with facial surgery. There was so much joy with the team of around 15 professionals from USA, India and Vietnam.

Susan Mathews shared with the US team her memories of preparing Philip for his surgeries. "As I looked at the line of mothers seated at Pari Hospital's waiting area, I identified with their faces. They were hoping their child would be well and healthy enough for surgery. It reminded me of the day right before Philip's palate surgery. I had mentally prepared for it and had arranged all the time off from my job as a nurse as well. My mom called me to tell me that Philip had a fever of 101, and I was sitting at my hospital nurse's station debating whether or not to call Philip's surgeon. I finally did, and the surgeon's staff told me that Philip's surgery would need to be postponed. I was crying, and pleading with her over the phone to let him go ahead with surgery. I knew better, but I could not bear to think of him having to wait to eat, to wait to speak because his palate was not repaired. As I saw those mothers in Zimbabwe holding their babies to their chest, and searching us with their eyes filled with hope, I wept."
