Well, dear readers, it has been a long long time since I have updated you on happenings in this household. Let me just say, February, March and April have not been pretty months. May is not looking beautiful either. :D
However, the one good thing, is that God knows what the future holds, and I do not 'need to know.' I was listening to a devotion by Ron Hutchcraft (check link http://www.hutchcraft.com/a-word-with-you/your-mission/on-a-need-to-know-basis-6350) this morning and was just reminded of God's faithfulness.
His Word is a lamp to our feet, and a light to our paths. We do not know what our final destination and goal is, but we do have enough light for the next step. Philip met with his spine surgeon this week for his six month follow up. We wanted to see how his curve measured out now. Unfortunately, his curve has advanced to 102 degrees. Our doctor is concerned about heart and lung function even more so, now.
I could not stop weeping Tuesday afternoon. On our way back home, we stopped at the church to just seek God. We ended up praying for our church :) Later that evening, as I prayed with Philip, I heard his prayer. "God, I know you turned the water into wine. And I still believe you can make my back straight."
Need to know. I wish I knew the final destination for Philip and his spine, but I was reminded, it's a need to know basis. I have enough light for the step that I am on, and I will trust Him to help us move to the next step.
Please pray that whatever the Lord wills for us, that we be completely obedient to His will, His way and His time.
May God strengthen and bless you in all your decisions this week.
